interviews with the Secretary of State Anthony Lincoln, Minnesota Senator

Amy Klobuchar, Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon,

Democrat and Republican, respectively.

Our broadcast this week ended up centering

on the rebellion in Russia

as the Wagner mercenary group attempted to march on the capital,

then ended up turning around seemingly abandoning

the biggest challenge to President Vladimir Putin's nearly quarter century of power.

So with these breaking developments over the weekend, our brand new NBC news poll got a little

buried even though it

shows further evidence of American voters who are just not happy with the

direction of the country and not happy with the leadership. Although the

continued dominance of Donald Trump and the Republican Party is also a fascinating

development and in fact he seems to have gotten stronger after the federal indictment and weaker against Joe Biden.

Biden's numbers aren't great, but as he was fond of saying,

don't judge him against the Almighty,

judge him against the alternative and against

Donald Trump. He continues to hold the same lead that he defeated him by in

2020. It's notable that DeSantis actually does better against Biden than Trump,

although DeSantis has fallen further behind Trump in the Republican primary.

So I got a lot of numbers to go through.
