Hello there, Chuck Todd. I just got off the meat depressed set from right here on Sunday.

We are batting down the hatches here wondering how bad the weather is going to get in DC in

case you're wondering. Just wrapped up some interviews with the Democratic House Majority

Whip, James Clyburn, Democratic Strategist James Carville, and my exclusive interview with

Republican Senator Mitt Romney. I've got Andrew Mitchell with me here. She's our Chief

Washington correspondent, Chief Foreign Affairs correspondent, all those things. So we're

going to talk a little bit about the broadcast, but then I have you here. I know I want to

talk a little bit more about the other day job you have a lot, which is covering that

state department and what we're doing with Russia. It's great to be here.

But let's start with, what did you learn? I came in wondering, all right, what do Democrats

want Biden to do now? You heard a little bit from Clyburn, you heard a little bit from

Carville, what's the sense you get that they think? What does Biden need to do to sort of

get out of this hole within? Talk more about the economy. Talk more, as Carville said,

about what they've done. Talk more about the jobs, the hourly wages, maybe the child tax

credit, which has expired. Get that done, maybe as a standalone. And talk more about achievements.

It just seems as though they are playing defense too much and beating each other up too

much. And this is the part I'm not sure. It is interesting to me. I'm a skeptic that

this vote's going to happen next week, another voting right? Because I'm like, why intentionally

showcase Democratic disunity and get more people angry, Kirsten Sinema. I don't know what

that accomplishes, but what I found interesting is both Clyburn and Carville thought, no, no,

no, you got to see where everybody stands. You got to force this vote. Is this something

that could backfire on? I think they do have to force this vote. And maybe it'll backfire,
