As protests erupt across the country over the fatal ice shooting in Minneapolis, there's

news of another shooting by Border Patrol agents, this time in Portland, Oregon.

Police are in route.

It looks like caller saying that he was shot twice by ICE and his wife was shot as well.

The Portland shooting happened yesterday afternoon as the agents were conducting a vehicle

stop.

The Department of Homeland Security says one of the agents, quote, fired defensive shots

after the driver tried to run the agents over.

They add that the driver in passenger, a married couple, are believed to be linked to the

notorious Venezuelan gang, Trende Aragua, though they did not provide evidence.

The Portland police chief says the condition of the couple was not known yesterday evening,

while a federal law enforcement

source tells CNN no agents were injured in the shooting.

A state investigation is now underway to determine what happened, and Portland's mayor

is calling on ice to pause operations in the city.

Portland is not a training ground for militarized agents.
