Our culture is sexually saturated and sadly many Christian men and women today struggle

with a secret addiction to pornography.

Now we want to encourage you to get help if you or someone you're close to is struggling.

I'm Jean Fuller joined by Dr. Greg Smalley and his wife Aaron, they head up the Focus Marriage Department and

Aaron this is a problem that affects way too many Christian marriages and it can be devastating

for a wife when she finds out her husband is struggling with

pornography. Absolutely. You know first and foremost she might feel very betrayed

because he is looking outside of the relationship at images that are not edifying.

And so she might feel very betrayed, she might internalize it and feel I'm not good enough or I'm doing something wrong.

There's broken trust, emotional distance.

It can be devastating to the relationship.

And so I encourage couples as this is revealed which actually I

look at that if it's revealed that's actually a good thing because then healing

is possible it's when we keep it inside in the dark that the enemy has such a foothold.

So being courageous enough to put that out into the open with your wife or your husband,

because like you said, John John both male and female struggle with

pornography so really it is being courageous enough to reveal this because

then healing can begin seek out the help of a licensed Christian counselor

and begin walking through that process.

Yeah, and if this is something that you're struggling with
