Hey, this is Durey and welcome to Piotr Hath the People.

On this episode we have conversations with two people running to be the next day to

attorney in the city of Baltimore, my home city and my home.

And we have the news with me, Brittany and Sam.

Clinton joined us this week because he is just so busy, but we love Clint and we always

miss Clint.

Now, the word for this week is about confrontation.

People often think about confrontation in one way and as a protester, I'll say that

I understand the shouting and screaming.

I understand what it means to do sit-ins, to do dions, to shut things down and to really

forward and over it way.

I also know that confrontation sometimes can be the content, that sometimes it can be quiet.

That the root of confrontation is about challenging a set of ideas and beliefs in the way that

they come across.

And too often I've seen people think that if you are not shutting down an event, then you're

not actually challenging and confronting.

And we have to remember that non-violence does not mean no confrontation.

That our strategies are still rooted in the politics of confrontation to force people

to deal with things that they wouldn't otherwise.

But it doesn't always have to look the same way.

And there are some examples of, I remember in college, the college Republicans put ret

hangers up because they were against abortion.
