We talk about politics too and I've been speaking to someone who now seems to be one of Theresa

May's fiercest critics in the media.

I have to call it as I see it as editor.

So I'm not pulling punches because I think I would be doing my readers a disservice.

The editor of London's evening standard, a man with a familiar voice, he's the former

chancellor of course George Osborne, and we'll be considering how this could be a defining

week for brand May and brand Corbin.

The week itself of course was defined by that event and event we all knew could happen

all feared might and all hoped would not.

Good morning it's eight o'clock on Tuesday the 23rd of May.

The headlines this morning, greater Manchester police have said they believe one man carried

out last night's bombing at a pop concert in the city killing 22 people, some of them

children.

The president's my home city so for me this was more than just a news story.

I'm a father as well so you think of your own children going to a concert like that.

But you do quite quickly think my goodness we will be breaking that news to many people

who don't look at their phone first thing in the morning.

Don't see it in their newspaper but hear it first on the radio and on the today program

and that is quite a tough thing to do.
