This is CBS, I in the world. I'm John Bachelor. I welcome Peter Berkowitz of the

Hoover Institution, Roddy Reelclare Politics, about a debate I was unaware of

until Peter apprised me. It's between the American Conservatives and the

National Conservatives, sometimes called Nat Cons.

Peter, a very good evening to you.

American Conservatives, I think I have a very good handle on an American conservative, knowing many such as yourself, and looking in the

mirror now and again. Okay, fine. But National Conservatives is all new to me. Where did it come

from? Who is driving this unusual

presentation of conservatism good evening to you good evening chan yes in a way

the even the title American Conservative is something something new

something developed in response to the challenge of national conservatism. It arose

maybe six seven eight years ago.

It's a group of people who identify themselves as conservatives.

By the way, in the United States and also outside of the United States, the

leading figure in all this is the man named Iran Kuzoni, who's an Israeli political

theorist, was educated in the United States.

And these conservatives are deeply dissatisfied with the conservative movement in the United States.

They believe that since Ronald Reagan left office, maybe since George, H.W. Bush left office, the conservative

movement has been in a state of decline. It's grown weak and flabby. It's grown

accommodationist, and it has grown accommodationist and it has allowed crime to flourish. It has done

nothing about open borders. It has sat back while transgender ideology has run wild.

Identity politics has proliferated on campus.
