You know, these poll numbers are extraordinary.

And what's interesting is, and so I've been occasionally accused of being obsessed by polls, except that I'm

only slightly less obsessed than the politicians he's going to be dealing with. And his numbers

are incredible on this specific question, which is people really are patient, as can be, about what they expect from him.

They think the next year is going to be worse than last year. They expect things to take a long

time to get right. But what they want from him and really want from Republicans and Democrats

and Congress is some sense that people are trying to get things done and not engaging in the old
