An Ohio man is behind bars after being charged in his wife's murder months after she was found stabbed to death in their home.

35-year-old Kyle Long was taken into custody and charged with murder after a four-month

investigation into the death of his wife, Rachel Long.

Back on October 23rd, Long called police claiming Rachel died by suicide. When officers got to the home, Long said he was watching TV when his wife went into their bedroom, began laughing, and then screaming. He went on to say that he went to check on her and found her stabbing herself in the face and the neck. An autopsy showed she had 17 stab wounds and defensive wounds to her hands.

Court documents show Rachel was texting a friend before her death and didn't appear to be suicidal.

When authorities spoke to her husband a second time, he made contradictory statements,

and investigators learned he was trying to end their marriage.

Kyle Long is being held on $ and a half million dollars bond.
