Dreaming of You, she processes fandom and fame through this story where a fictionalized Melissa

brings Selena back from the dead.

It's a funny and weird book where you can see Lazada Olivia constantly pushing back

at what people think a Latino writer should be.

Because as she tells NPR's Osama Khalid, sometimes representation isn't about being seen,

but about being sold.
