Hello, prayers of rest listeners.

It's been a hot minute.

Hi, this is Ashterita.

I'm the host of the Purrers of Rest podcast, and we've taken a break this past summer.

It's been a few months since we've updated the feed here, since there has been new prayers.

And part of that has been us just praying and seeking the Lord's direction about where

to go with the prayers of rest podcast.

And to be totally frank, for the better part of the summer, I thought, this is it.

This is all that I feel like the Lord has given me.

And I have nothing else to offer on this

podcast and i don't know what's going to happen with it um and i posted a short little update on

patreon just saying you know i i think i think we might be wrapping it up and um i kid you not like two weeks after I posted that announcement, I was spending time

in prayer before the Lord just seeking his direction for the upcoming months. And I thought,

you know what? I think we have one more season. Because in my own personal life, over the past 18 months,

God has done a work of restoration and healing. He has restored to me the joy of my salvation.

He's restored the sparkle to my eyes. It was really rough there for a while. And he's just done such a great work in my heart.

And I wrote a book about it. It's called Delighting in Jesus. That book is launching in December,

December 3rd. And after I'd gone through the publishing process and everything and we're

thinking about it, I thought, you know, we've never actually paused on this podcast to pray

for joy. And that has been such a big part of my prayer life over the past two or three years.

We've prayed for rest and we use the rest acronym to pray, but we haven't as a community

prayed for joy. And as I've been talking about this new book and my excitement about it with
