The Welcome to History of Europe, Key Battles podcast.

This is a special episode with an update on where we're going with the podcast and some news.

Here in the United Kingdom, where I live, there were some local elections back in May,

where I was able to become the representative of the village where I live.

It's a village called Encham and it's just outside Oxford to the west of Oxford City.

So for me personally it's a great opportunity and I think it's a great chance to give something back to the community and to help out the village.

But the downside, it's going to be realistically very difficult to be able to keep the podcast going at the same pace as before, whilst also getting to grips of my new responsibilities.

So what I've decided to do is to put the podcast on HATIS for four months.

In the meantime, I'll find some spare pockets of time,

and I'll continue doing the research,

and I'll continue writing the episodes.

And then when we get going again in about four months' time,

then I'll be able to keep with the regular flow of episodes again.

I mean, there's a lot to talk about. I'm really keen to get on to the Battle of the Ponto

and the French wars of religion, and also some great northern wars and going on to the 30 years war.

So there's lots of really exciting

stories which I'm excited to tell you about.

In the meantime, I will be keeping alive the Facebook page for the podcast.
