| 0:59.9 | some of Ted's writings on the interpretation of the Wilderness Act and what its actual intent was. |
| 1:06.4 | And in seeing, you know, I live right near Point Reyes, which is a very urban wilderness area, |
| 1:13.4 | where bikes are completely banned and reading Ted's writings, I realize that there is a significant |
| 1:20.2 | problem. It seems that bikes are being treated like strip mining and not being seen as something comparable to riding a horse or hiking, |
| 1:30.3 | which ultimately we very much are. |
| 1:33.3 | So our goal, and we definitely want to emphasize a misconception that some people have that we are trying to overturn the Wilderness Act. |
| 1:42.3 | That is not by no means the case. There is a very specific |
| 1:46.8 | federal statute that bans bikes that is an interpretation of the Wilderness Act. And I'll let Ted |
| 1:52.6 | hit some of the legal aspects of this. And that is really our goal, is this one very specific |
