| 0:00.0 | As we walk through the troubled times, we struggle through the so-called light, waiting for something to change |
| 0:28.0 | And now all of it's gone. All right, here we go guys Saturday, March 11th, 2023, BK here coming at you about 12.11 p.m. |

| 0:52.0 | Let's go ahead and get started here with Germany and talk about this mass shooting. They don't have too many over there. |
| 1:00.0 | So let's get into that. It kind of came and went and news pretty quickly, but yeah, six people they're saying were killed and at least several more injured in this shooting and was in a Jehovah's Witness Hall in Hamburg, Germany on Thursday night. |
| 1:17.0 | So there was an event at the hall at the time of the shooting and the police were first called to the scene about 9.15 p.m. local time and when they arrived several minutes later, they found the dead in the wounded and heard a final shot on the top floor of the building. |
| 1:37.0 | And when the cops got up there, they found another dead body. So they're still investigating a motive on this and whether the attacker was specifically targeting the Jehovah's Witnesses, which is a very small religious community in Germany. |
| 1:53.0 | They have about 175,000 adherents to Jehovah's Witness religion across the country and but they have about 900 of these halls that they call Kingdom halls and there's a little bit more that we now know because the cops are coming out and saying, oh yeah, we spoke to this guy before just like they do in the US, right? |
| 2:22.0 | The known wolf as they say, but weeks before he actually opened fire on his former congregation and yes, they are saying now that this dude was a former member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. |
| 2:36.0 | The authorities got a tip that he quote harbored a special rage and quote towards religious groups, but when they checked on him, they determined they did not have any grounds to seize his weapons. |
| 2:50.0 | Let me see if they actually describe what weapons he did have because it's not like here in America, you can't have just anything. |
| 2:58.0 | He again killed six people, shot a pregnant woman whose fetus did not survive the shooting, a total of eight people were wounded four of them severely. |
| 3:10.0 | Remember, they have those silly privacy laws over in Germany, so they identified the gunman only as Philip F, 35-year-old German. |
| 3:22.0 | Let me see here, yeah, here we go, regulations limit who can own a weapon in Germany and make training and testing compulsory before a gun can be purchased. Of course, fully automatic weapons are illegal in Germany as they are here unless you have a special license for that kind of stuff. |
| 3:40.0 | Let me see here, in January, here's when they talked to him before. In January, the authorities responsible for weapons control received a letter saying that this guy, Philip F, harbored a rage against members of religious groups, especially the Jehovah's Witnesses, so several weeks after receiving the letter, the cops sent an unannounced team to his home to inspect whether he was securing his weapons and ammo in a safe as required by law. |
| 4:08.0 | And to talk to him and they said he'd been open and cooperative and everything was in order. All the weapons and ammo was locked up so they gave him a verbal warning because the law in Germany does limit the authority's ability to take steps to remove weapons from an owner who is licensed to possess them. |
| 4:27.0 | And in this case, they say because the letter was written anonymously, there wasn't really anything they could do an additional letter didn't give any like hard evidence. |
| 4:40.0 | So what else about this anything? They did, if you guys saw there was some social media videos going around of cops responding and the cops were responding while there were still shots ringing out. |
| 4:54.0 | There was about 50 people total in there. Oh, here we go with the weapon. He was armed with a handgun. There was a semi auto. That was one of the weapons he was legally allowed to own. This is weird. |
| 5:12.0 | They found nine empty magazines each capable of holding up to 15 rounds, but they were empty along with a backpack filled with 20 more magazines. It doesn't say whether those were loaded or unloaded. |
| 5:26.0 | Another two magazines were found on his body. He had obtained his gun license in 2022 and had legally acquired all the weapons. |
| 5:37.0 | You know, Jehovah's Witnesses, interestingly enough, they were kind of carefully watched back in the Cold War. And they really worked for years to be given equivalent status to Germany's other religious communities. And that wasn't granted until 2005 in Berlin. |
