Coast time and we're going to go ahead and get started and this is B BK here, News Roundup podcast. And as promised, I have two special guests this week. And I'm going to start off with my first, my first guest was Ranger Battalion, and a very good friend of mine. And Rooster, how you doing, buddy? Pretty good. Thanks for having me.'m really glad thanks a lot for coming on and my second guest is bird and uh bird's a former marine how you doing bird doing good man good to be here thanks parents let me uh let me let's just start off with the basic question i ask everybody what got you guys interested the military um and where were you doing what were you doing? Rooster wanted you go ahead and start? Like, where'd you grow up and that kind of thing? I grew up in a small, small town in Northern California and went to a community college where I was failing miserably. I was 17 years old going to community college. And instead of just staying and failing out, I decided I was going to join the military.

I initially wanted to go in to be a seal. And I had a buddy who talked me out of it. I was like, hey, man, if you fail buds, you go to the means of the Navy. So you'll just be swabbing a deck for the rest of your life like a, you know, like a pirate. Okay. So yeah, and you weren't, and you weren't too confident yet at the time that you could...

A few months later, I turn 18 and I went in and then did six years.

Loved it, but I decided to get out and try to do bigger and better things.
