ahead and jump right into it, you guys. Tons of stuff to get to this week like always. And I thought

I'd begin with this story about the Amazon rainforest, Brazil, the fires, the whole thing. It turns out,

like usual, there's tons of misinformation out there. So I want to scrutinize this story,

which is why I made it the first one. So let's get started with that. Now, of course, this is

the ecological disaster in the Amazon that's now kind of escalating into a global political crisis.

And it has become so pressing that Brazilian President Jeyer Bolsonaro took the rare step Friday yesterday of mobilizing the armed forces to help contain these

blazes on a scale not seen in nearly a decade. Now this is a sudden reversal, writes the New York

Times, after days of dismissing growing concern over hundreds of fires raging across the Amazon.

And it kind of grew into a global issue because European leaders have now threatened to

cancel a major trade deal while protesters are staging demonstrations.

And, you know, there's calls for a boycott of Brazilian products on social media.
