Why don't we go ahead and get right into it this week?

Guys, I thought I'd start with this whole kerfuffle involving our United States congressional representatives

and the country of Israel because it's got a lot of different fascinating facets to me anyway

and involving free speech and Israel's obligations to us, et cetera, et cetera.

And of course, what I'm talking about is this whole controversy with Representative Rashida

Talib, who is a Democratic congresswoman out of Michigan. She, of course, is of Palestinian descent.

Now, what happened was they requested a trip to go to Israel, the congresswoman, including

and her friend Ilhan Omar, another congresswoman, and they have been now barred from visiting

Israel after like a couple days worth of back and forth.

So what happened was Israel originally relented slightly on Friday after barring Representative Talib

under pressure from President Trump.

Recall that Trump tweeted out that they should.

I don't know how much pressure that actually was. I'm sure it was some for sure. And Israel did say, okay, you can visit your 90-year-old grandmother who lives in the occupied West Bank is how the New York Times writes it. And Israel acted and relented on this after Taleb, who's that outspoken Palestinian-American, agreed in writing not to promote boycotts against Israel during the trip.
