having a great weekend uh coming at you from san diego california 10 30 a m a little bit early i'm actually

going to see slightly stupid and go bet on the ponies a little bit later up at the delmar racetrack so

getting started a little bit early.

But yeah, we're still going to do what we do here. Two and a half hours straight, no breaks, no editing. That's what we do. And I thought I'd start this week with something a little different. Usually I'd do a large world news story. And this is, in a sense, it is a major news story, but it's a military news story.

And I have actually covered this before, and this was the cheating scandal that's going on at the basic school for new USMC officers.

And I mentioned it, but since I talked about it, oh, I don't know, what was that a week or two

ago, since I talked about this cheating scandal, it don't know, what was that a week or two ago? Since I talked about this

cheating scandal, it is kind of really blown up for the United States and Marine Corps. And

the Marine Corps Times did a very good, long, detailed article by my man, Sean Snow. So I thought

I'd get into it a little bit, because there's some, a little bit of intrigue here.

And yes, this is the cheating scandal that involves six second lieutenants, or would-be lieutenants,

accused of wrongfully obtaining and sharing key grid points for the night land navigation course.

The officers were accused of sharing these grid points via text messages before the test and later

relying on them to find hidden boxes stashed across the wooded nightland, which is the navigation course in Quantico, Virginia.

And obviously the Marine Corps considers that cheating because the students were able to complete the Corps without

demonstrating the key skills the course aims to evaluate, which is obviously conducting proper land navigation.

Now, how it's blown up a little bit is that they're saying this investigation has been mishandled

and further resulted in an investigation of the investigators.
