Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, depending on where you are on the planet. Welcome to ill-advised by Bill Nye, and the clue is in the title. My advanced age in no way guarantees a sophisticated worldview. If I at any point start sounding profound or like I know what to do, especially in terms of relationships,

call a cat. Really, this is an invitation to squander time, probably with the kettle on,

0:28.7

if you can get your arm up the spout, as my grandmother used to say. But thank you for all the

0:33.6

questions, and I know that really it's just a cry for help. So it doesn't matter whether I know what to do or not.

On the few occasions when they have, I immediately stand up as a deterrent.

1:30.9

I eat lunch almost always, when I do eat lunch, I'm not good at lunch, but I eat out all

1:36.7

of the time.

1:37.4

I have my breakfast in a cafe and I have my dinner in a restaurant every night.

1:42.4

And I always have.

1:43.5

And when I was younger, it would be

1:45.7

when I was on tour and stuff, it would be like a pie and a pint and with a book. And it's a big

1:51.6

part of my reading life because I read at breakfast and I read at lunch if there is one and I read

1:57.8

at dinner for sure. So I don't want to be disturbed. One of the dangers is that if

2:03.5

you go into a certain restaurant, people who don't read feel that however interesting your book is,
