Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio. So,

here we are, ladies and gentlemen. We

entered the last week of July and it's still all over the place. It doesn't look very

summary out there, I have to say. There was a lot of floods going on yesterday, particularly

in London and other parts of the southeast of England. We'll be talking about that coming

up a little bit later on. But as far as the way we are, last week I said it was kind of limbo-like, wasn't it?

We weren't quite sure whether we were coming or going.

We didn't really know whether there was a good piece of news or a bad piece of news.

Freedom Day wasn't quite as free as we thought it would be, particularly with the COVID vaccines.

The vaccine passports coming out and everything else.

So here's what I'm seeing at the moment.

Masters are coming off in some places.

COVID cases are dropping all over the place all the time.

Traffic lights are flashing in many different ways and the pandemic continues apace.

Even Julia Hartley-Bruer had to do her show from home this morning.

Thanks for the mad system which pinged her because of a plane she was on over a week ago.

The world has officially gone mad and today we expect to find out even more workers will be given exemptions of having to self-isolate

because it's destroying the everyday lives of people and stopping commerce dead in its tracks.

There's only things that aren't happening as a result of too many people being off.

Even bin collections have apparently been affected

because too many bin men have been pinged.
