0:36.7	And that is an increasing concern and a legitimate increasing concern about what are called deep fake videos.

0:49.2	And the concern, the concern is, well, what a deep fake video is,
0:55.7	is the technology is getting to the point
0:58.1	where you can get some politician, let's say on camera with his voice his gestures his face
1:08.9	everything saying things that are reprehensible or you know total gaffes or career ending
1:18.9	Career ending comments and the concern is let's say you have a hot a very close and very hot
1:26.8	political campaign and a week before the election a someone claims to have found unrevealed footage of you know the the bad
1:37.6	politician and it's a deep fake video manufactured for the occasion and you release it the
1:45.6	damages done the election was close to begin with and all intelligent
1:51.5	observers believe that the release of the deep fake video at the last
1:56.5	minute is what swung the election the way it went.
2:02.4	And then the forgery is discovered the Now what? Now that really is a problem in when you're talking about elections that really is a big problem.
2:18.0	But I would say there's an even bigger problem when we're talking about criminal trials, criminal cases.
2:29.4	And this is building up to my proposal, and I'd like to suggest this periodically until somebody important
2:37.9	hears about it and introduces a bill to address this. I believe that we're rapidly getting to the point where we ought not to accept any kind of electronic evidence against someone in a court of law without the burden of proof with regard to that
