The playoff field is set.

The lottery odds are set to, we have much to discuss.

And here to break it all down with me is one, Daniel Leroux, and we watch today's basketball.

And I, ultimately, I just, I was left with such a weird feeling by these last two games of the season for for all these scenes

I just like didn't know what was going on or what anyone was thinking or why they're doing

the things they're doing it was just a really odd last two games of the season it was

confounding it was frustrating and surprising in certain circumstances because I think a lot of the

story of Sunday, and to a lesser extent, Friday, was the decisions that these teams

made in terms of who played and who didn't.

And I think I'm open to starting at other places, the thing that was most stunning to me from that, and I think is maybe most reflective

of the bizarre nature of the last couple days in the NBA is Nugget Spurs.

Because Nugget Spurs had, I would say, clearer incentives than some of the other things,

which maybe to some degree were murky.

Apparently it wasn't clear.

And so here's what's interesting.

So I'll even, we'll do the Denver part of this first, even though I think the San Antonio

component is more straightforward and bizarre.

So the Denver Nuggets, we could assume, and as actually happened, that the

Los Angeles Lakers were going to beat the Utah Jazz, who really, really, really wanted to lose and are very good at that, other than against the risks. And the, so you assume the Lakers are going to win. So then the nuggets, the dichotomy of the outcomes is that if the Nuggets win, they are the three-seed, face Minnesota

in the first round, and then are on the same side of the bracket as the Spurs, not the same side of the bracket as the Thudder. If the Nuggets lose, then they are the four. They face the Houston Rockets and are on OKC's side of the bracket. So from Denver standpoint, as you and I sought. It is a, it is a choice to try to beat the three seed and go for it.

Denver decidedly did not do that. Yokic played 18 minutes enough to satisfy the requirements to be

eligible for awards. He did not play in the second half. All the rest of their principles were out.
