| 0:00.0 | If you put your effort and concentration and to play into your potential to be the best that you can be, I don't care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game. In my book, we're going to be winners. |
| 0:10.1 | The talent for so many players today, the talent and the spotlight, it's taking them to heights that their character's not strong enough to support. |
| 0:16.7 | I'm one of those set goals achievements. |
| 0:19.1 | I talked about faith, passion, obviously, the drive with the guys that I've been around, |
| 0:23.5 | and the guys that surround me every single day. |
| 0:25.7 | If I want to be one of the best, I've got to play with and against the best. |
| 0:30.4 | So that which gets praised, gets what you're listening to the Hardwood Hustle, brought you by PGC basketball. |
| 1:28.7 | Players, thank you for tuning in. You're listening to the Hardwood Hustle, brought you by PGC Basketball. Players, thank you for tuning in. You're listening to The Hardwood Hustle. I'm your host, Adam Bradley, alongside T.J. Roseanne, special thanks to our friends over at PGC basketball, lead them up and Team Snap for all their support of the Hardwood Hustle. Today, TJ, fun topic, I think players are going to really benefit from. Yeah, I think that players, here's something, like, I want to give you something tangible today. Like, what can you do to get better? And one of the things that I think players don't do enough of is track stuff. And I've been around really good players that track things. Like they actually... You're not talking about, like, running on a track. Right, no.'m talking about actually just, however you do it, whether it's on your phone or a pen and paper or whatever, but actually for a month, write down what you do. You could make this as in-depth or not as in-depth or you could just start with a day or start with a week. Most of the times, if you were to actually write down your day or you'd write down your week and look back on it you'd be like man sure felt like i did a lot less than that or i did a lot more than that one or you're going to fall on |
| 1:33.8 | one side of the the track on that i don't know if it's more or less but i think players really miss the boat |
| 1:39.9 | when they don't track i actually think people in business and all walks of life miss out when they don't track |
| 1:45.8 | and figure out how much they're really getting done. |
| 1:48.1 | So here's an example for you, players. |
| 1:50.1 | Something you could tangibly do right away to really figure out your game. |
| 1:54.1 | And you could start small. |
| 1:55.5 | So for instance, let's just say that you wanted to become a better shooter. |
| 1:58.9 | And for one week, track everything you did to become a better shooter and for one week track everything you did |
| 2:01.9 | to become a better shooter. Now here's the next step to it. After you've tracked it, really get |
| 2:06.7 | some feedback from somebody. Get feedback from a great shooter. Get feedback from your coach. |
| 2:11.2 | Say, hey, here's what I did to become a better shooter over the course of the week. Here's my |
| 2:15.9 | results. Here's everything that happened. What do you think about this? And a really good coach, a really good shooter could give you feedback and say, all right, so you shot 100 shots. And you'd be like, yeah, I shot 100 shots on that day. All right, great. Well, how many did you make? Well, I didn't count how many I made. All right. Well, there's your first feedback. You're missing something. Well, how fast did you shoot 100? Were you fatigue or were you not fatigue? I shot 20 and I rested a little while and shot another 20. Okay, well, here's what. If you're going to shoot game-like shots at a game-like speed, you're going to have to fatigue yourself. I suggest sets of 25 or whatever it is. but if you don't have that kind of feedback, you really don't have a plan. And how are you going to get where you want to get if you don't have a plan? And you could go off track because not everybody needs to become a better shooter. Maybe it's your energy in practice. Maybe you need to track your diet for a week or a month or whatever or your sleep patterns, |
| 3:09.3 | things like that. |
| 3:10.3 | If you really have a desire to get better, I really think you should be tracking as many |
