If you put your effort and concentration and to play into your potential to be the best that you can be,

I don't care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game, in my book, we're going to be winners.

The talent for so many players today, the talent and the spotlight, it's taking them to heights that their character's not strong enough to support.

I'm one of those set goals to achieve goals.

I talked about faith, passion, obviously the drive with the guys that I've been around,

and the guys that surround me every single day.

If I want to be one of the best, I've got to play with and against the best.

That which gets praised gets with beautiful.

moving from this thought process of being a coach to more of a teacher

yeah I think you find the craft of coaching when you look at it as a craft you're always

looking for ways to get better at it and one of the probably we've shared this before in different

episodes but probably one of the biggest mind shifts i've ever made was thinking of myself as a teacher

you know instead of a coach and uh thinking about ways to teach better rather than to coach better and it's one of the big things that's the big of myself as a teacher, you know, instead of a coach and thinking about ways to teach

better rather than to coach better. And it's one of the best, you know, transformations I think

that I've made as, as a coach and continue to make is continue to not just no basketball, not just

no X's and O's, but learn things like teaching methodologies.

You know, and my hope through this episode is that you will become a better teacher because of this episode and some of the things we're going to share today.

But I think it's really important that, you know, so much of our time with our players is

teaching.
