Hey everyone, thank you for being here. This is an unusual episode of the show and

what I'm about to offer is probably an unusual intro for this podcast.

I'm San Francisco, this is Talk Easy.

And three years ago, Robert Forrester came on the show really before anyone else did or before anyone else

would and it was heartbreaking to read. Yeah, you know, last weekend he passed away at the age of 78.

The cause I believe was brain cancer and and

yeah I uh... before we listen to the episode that we did I just

I want to take a moment to express something. I know everyone is so quick to express their love and affection and memories for Robert. They've all seemed to be expressed online and I am just not good at

on the fly immediate responses.

So yeah, it's taking me a minute to figure out how to process something like this.

And I didn't know Robert very well.

And, you know, back in 2016,

he came on this show and I remember the moment so clearly you know I was visiting

Los Angeles and I was living in San Francisco at the time but I didn't exactly know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go and so I was visiting to see if this seemed like a city I should stay in and

while I was down there visiting LA I set up a series of interviews I think

Melanie Linsky was part of it Amy Nicholson and the third one was Robert Forrester.

At that point, I don't think he had done any podcast.

I could be wrong.

He may have, but he hadn't done many.
