It's another week of Play-by-Play.

It's presented once again by our friends at The Advocate,

and along with Harrison Valentine behind the board,

the illustrious Kent Lowe.

I'm Chris Blair, and while we're coming to you maybe a day later,

but that's because it was the Labor Day holiday.

And that's because I got back to Baton Rouge at about 3.22 a.m. on Monday.

And needed some time to kind of just get my bearings straight, Kent.

And I think that's probably true for most of us that went to Orlando,

watched the game from wherever. It was a tough opener Sunday night to Florida State LSU. And

again, interesting first half. I still don't think it was the prettiest half by either team.

And I'll tell you my initial thoughts there in the booth, you know, the year previous in New Orleans, it was not a pretty game.

I mean, the entire game wasn't pretty.

And so the first half, I kept thinking, well, maybe, again, we've got more points in the first half than we did last year by a little bit,

but maybe the defenses for both teams are much better, and that's why.

And that's why we've got a 7-7 game, 14-7 game, 14-14 game.

And then into the locker room, LSU takes a little momentum in the lead, 17-14.

But the second half was, you know, last year it was a tale of two halves.

Florida State in the first half, Jaydon Daniels running wild and LSU coming back late in the second half.

Tail of two halves this year, and Florida State dominated the second half en route to a 45-24 victory.

Yeah, they really did.
