Summary

Today I bring on Rochelle Greayer of Pith + Vigor. She's a garden and landscape designer, TV host, and the creator of two incredible garden and planting design bootcamps.

In this episode, we discuss how going to a reputable nursery and asking them to help you filter through the laundry list of planting options is one of the best time, money, and garden-saving hacks when it comes to planting out your garden design.

Garden and Landscape designer, a TV host, the founder of Pipp and vigor.com. She is also the creator of the Garden Design and the Planting Design Boot Camp.

And we're touching on some topics from both of those boot camps in this week.

Yesterday we talked about how plants are kind of like employees, they do jobs and you should be selecting

0:24.6

plants that are going to do the job that you want rather than solely selecting a plant that

0:29.2

you know looks the way you want it to look.

0:30.9

And so today we're going to talk about one way to make that a little

0:34.4

bit easier for you to do and and it's something Rochelle that I've said a lot with the

0:38.8

edible world is you know why not just go to someone who knows a little bit more than you do and just ask them what works?

and doesn't work for your area a heck of a lot better than you might but here's the

1:10.6

bigger hack go there and not just ask them questions,

1:14.1

but ask them for a list of what they sell

1:17.8

and what they grow throughout the season.

1:19.8

Most of them can give that to you.

1:21.8

And then work with that rather than going to like

1:26.1

Google and basically having like the world of plants at your fingertips and then

1:31.0

you having to narrow it down. If you go to the

1:32.9

nursery your local nursery ask them for a list of what they grow and then start
