In 2015, I went and drank ayahuasca with shamans abroad. It was a truly transformational moment for me,

but as well, it was utterly terrifying. And ayahuasca really isn't something to be taken lightly.

It demands the utmost reverence.

With that said, today I'm talking to Dr. Jeff McNary, who is Chief Medical Officer at Rhythmia,

which is the world's only medically licensed ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica.

Now, Jeff has treated thousands of people and bridges the worlds of clinical medicine

and traditional plant medicine. So we get into what actually happens in a ceremony, how emotional

release works, and why the integration process afterwards is absolutely vital and often overlooked.

I also share a bit more about my own experience with

the plant medicine, the impact it had, what it showed me, and how as well it shapes the work
