Welcome to another sparkling edition of Plank of the Week. We've been sitting here for quite a long time, so there's a bit of giggling going on. I'm not quite sure why they're all giggling, because it's a very serious show this. We are here at Talk Radio TV. We're going to be very serious. There's been a lot of plankery this week.

And of course, we're also in an election period. So we won't be able to, if you're wondering why, nobody's being named who's actually running for election. That's because we're not allowed to do that. But don't worry, even without those people, there's plenty of others to go out. And I'm going to ask, I think Kevin this week to kick us off.

I'm going to go for the headmaster of Batley Grammar School in Yorkshire.

His name is Gary Kibble, who left it for about three nanoseconds before unequivocally apologising

for the fact that one of his teachers had the temerity to try and arm his pupils

with some knowledge about the world. So this teacher we now know was teaching a lesson on

blasphemy and as an example was going to show the kids a picture of the cartoon of the prophet

Mohammed that triggered the Charlie Hebdo shooting.

Apparently the teacher did point out if you find this offense, if you don't have to look at it.

But what this teacher is trying to do is to impart knowledge to his kids.

And within seconds when the Muslim community suddenly a lot of men, Muslim men, appeared outside the gate saying

their parents, didn't see any mums there.

Many of whom weren't parents of the kids at a skill, by the way.

And no women, where were the parents?

If they were just the dads, there were no mums there.

So it was kind of a dubious demonstration.

But they were going crazy, saying, you you know you've insulted our religion you've caused

great offence and the headmaster immediately unequivocally apologised for the
