Hey brother. Have you guys ever noticed that in Toy Story, Woody here actually has a holster, but there's no gun that goes with it.

At this point in my adult life, as you can probably imagine, I have seen Toy Story a lot and I mean a lot of times and

I've always just been a little bit confused as to whether or not this is like a mistake

because like fun fact the whole reason that the first ever Pixar movie was about Toys in particular

is because the animation at the time wasn't really up to animating people.

It was really difficult to make them

look realistic. So instead they made a movie about things that are already made of

plastic. Toys. They of course still gave it the old college try with Sid though.

Nightmare fuel aside, people were just kind of hard to animate.

And it's actually this exact same obstacle which led to all of the kids who are attending Andy's party being the exact same model

rig as Andy himself.

This is kind of like one of those blink and you miss it details but once you've seen it you just simply

can't unsee it and it also kind of explains by pretty much every single shot of

Andy's birthday party is like of the waist down lots of legs and feet.

I bring it up though because if you do have like this animation limit in play,

then like why go the extra step to include a holster

when it's just otherwise

completely unused. Like, I mean, sure, there's that one scene

where Sid puts a match in it, which is kind of fun, I guess,

but that match doesn't even end up working.

So you could probably just, you know, cut that out and no problem.
