some of St. Ignatius's rules for humility because

they are actually part of the spiritual exercises. You see, humility is very important for St. Ignatius

and all the saints. Now, St. Ignatius specifically was a soldier before his conversion, so you

might be surprised. He took even the notion of humility into spiritual combat.

But we in the 21st century don't think of humility as combat, but because it's the foundation of the whole spiritual life, we are going to talk about it today.

You see, most modernists mistake meekness for humility. And yes, meekness is a great virtue, but it's not exactly the same thing as humility.

Modernists also conflate prudence for humility.

Once again, prudence is a great virtue linked to humility, but it is not the same as humility.

The first level of humility for St. Ignatius of Loyola, as you're about to hear,
