So Mickey James is awesome. I'm very humble to tell you that back in 2004, I did the last match tour, and you should search for that now. It was a wrestling rock and roll musical, and one of the best things I've ever done. But she was in that car, so I got to travel with her and talk to her, and she gave me a bunch of advice when it came to professional wrestling. And given that she was Mickey James, a pretty damn big wrestling superstar, she did not need to be as nice as she was.

To this day, I very much appreciated everything she went to have a way to do. All right. You want to think you'd be hard pressed today, not to argue that she hasn't had a hall of fame career when you do go back over all the major matches she did have. And yet, for some reason, in 2009 and 2010, W.W. sat down. They looked around the room when they were having one of their creative meetings

and decided, do you know what we can do with

Mickey James? We can probably put to her in one of the worst stories of all time. There really is something the WWE kept falling back into when business wasn't really on the up and up, which was let's try and push the envelope as much as possible, because maybe some sort of shock entertainment will get extra viewers.

And even if that does work, those people never hang around. And Mickey James has talked about this, as we will get into. And she kind of felt like she was being punished for something she had done or something she hadn't done. And if that's the case, we are not even thinking about the viewer. You're not even thinking about the fan. You're not even thinking about the audience at that point. You're just playing sillybillies. And in terms of what we did here, you're actually hurting

people's feelings. Now, I know I'm a corny so-and-so, but I don't think that's cool. Now, given how audience retention works, I'm going to make this clear very early on. Every single person on this planet is dealing with some sort of body dysmorphia or some sort of body image because you

can't help it even if you go on social media today you're being told to lose weight you're being

told you're over weight, you're being told you need to be jacked, you're telling you need to take this pill, you're being told this nutrition is out of whack and you're probably swear right now. Nobody is able to navigate through that without going, oh, wait a minute, maybe I should do something here. and we're always looking in the mirror and going, or maybe that could be better. Or some people, understandably, even feel ashamed because they have so much guilt, given the message being thrown into their face. So all of a sudden, you have to take this on and portray it in front of the world. And some people are actually calling you fat, even when you're not fat again. Here's Mickey James from 2010. That is absolutely ridiculous, and of course it shouldn't be happening in pro wrestling. I will now calm down. Also, I lied because people watch sports entertainment to be distracted from all of that stuff, which means don't drag it up and then throw it into people's eyes. If nothing else, it would take them by surprise, and that would be even worse. But yes, Mickey James was a big start at the time, as was Michelle McCall. So it made perfect to say, well, we have this women's championship. Why don't we put these two together in a feud? Michelle McCall also was part of Lay Call, the other person about team being Layla, so we really put some effort into that name. But it did make sense. It wasn't too bust two-to-eep's potato.

They felt like big deals. Let them fight. And what's really annoying is if we did this in 2025, it would be way better again because women's wrestling is just completely different in WWE. Given it was a different time, we did start with Mickey James taking on Layla and the fact Mickey won meant she was able to get her title shot. And yes, I'm sure you'd be able to figure this out.

Tray away McCool and Layla started calling her Higgy James though, which I'm sure someone in the back thought was really funny because it kind of rhymes, even though it doesn't. I do want to make two points clear before we go any further. Michelle McCall herself has come out time and time again and said she didn't want to do this,

she found it most uncomfortable.

Because somebody will go, why didn't she just leave her job? Like anybody would actually do that,

especially in 2010 or 2009, there was nowhere else to go. Women weren't even allowed to throw

punches in matches during this period in WWE. And that has been clarified by the likes of Lance Storm. Trust me, Lance Storm never tells no lies. He's the most stale-up individual ever. The second part, though, kind of goes back to what I was just talking about, but I want to underline this. There is Mickey James from December 2009. If you can look at that and call her fair, draw a base, or even have the thought in your head that Piggy should be a right word to throw in her general direction. I'm not trying to be horrible here, but you either are just trying to be an absolute asshole, or you have a problem and you don't understand bodies, and you probably need to go educate yourself. And yes, of course, the counterpoint is always but their heels, they're meant to do this, but go and watch the angles for yourself or take me up my word should you so dare this was going way deeper than just we got a

couple of bad guys who are being bullies this felt personal this felt vindictive and it just fell

off like nobody was given this best storyline of the year awards in fact it was the opposite way

most people came out and said yeah this is w w e and it's very As bro, the better way to put it is it didn't feel like a money generating angle. I don't even think that kind of thought been put into it. And yes, almost as soon as this feud had begun, we did the whole thing on Smackdown when we called Mickey James Piggy James. Once again, the evidence is out there. You can go watch it for yourself. It essentially left Mickey in tears. I'm sure a part of it was her trying to sell it as a baby face, but mostly there's only one word I can use, even though I've already used it 69 times. It was just mean. Sometimes the line is just blurred too much and let's go back to that word entertaining. I mean, it's in WWE. That's always meant to be your major takeaway. And personally speaking, I don't think this was entertaining at all. Finally, we got to the Survivor series. So, of course, we were going to do Team Michelle versus Team Mecky, which again was totally fine. W.W.E. had done that over and over again. But during this period, Michelle McCall made a video where she was meant to be on a farm and she was singing Old McDonald and of course we then took pictures of pigs and we superimposed Mickey James face over.

Not sure I even need to say anything more about this. It was like a child had done it and the child was the worst child of all time.
