Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros's MLB. This is the Fantasy Baseball podcast. It's me Joey P. Joe P. Zupia, with me of course is the Welsh, and it's time to look ahead

to the waiver wire this week, starting with a couple hitters that we are looking to add to our

rosters. So the Welsh and I are going to be a couple names to add to your lists before those waivers run this weekend. And I'm going to start off with one from the New York Mets here, Mark Vientos, a guy who, let's face it, had a pretty down 2025 after a 2024 season that was very encouraging. Maybe it's J.D. Martinez showing up back around, helping him out. All I know is the first eight games of the season. He's got 10 hits. He's got a home run. He's also hitting 417 with a 462 OBP and a 625 slugging. But Welsh, more to the point, Mark Vientos is going to see a fair amount of playing time between first base, DH, who knows, maybe a little outfield two while Juan Soto is on the shelf for the next three weeks or so. So Vientos right now, if you're looking on CBS, where a lot of people are paying for their leagues, he is under 50% rostered just at 48%. That number is lower on Yahoo and ESPN, so he is widely available. And I think in the meantime, guys like him and Brett Bady will see more playing time while the Soto injury takes place. And Mark Viento so far has made the most of it. Welsh, where would you start here for the first guy on the hitter side of things that you're looking to add this week in fantasy baseball? So this guy's been red hot to start the season. His percentages are going to be

all over the board. He is a higher percentage guy in what you were talking about with CBS on the

paid leagues. But when you look on the consensus ownership percentage on fantasy pros, which

takes Yahoo and ESPN, he is barely over 30%, which is a surprise to me.

And I see a lot of questions pop up about Cam Smith still.

People are not 100% sure where Cam Smith is at if they should be dropping said player.

You know, in pretty active leagues, he may already be picked up.

So there's maybe a little bit of irrelevance here for your specific league.
