Welsh, we got a lot to talk about today on the program. Another start for Zach Wheeler, another pitcher done for the year. And of course, another day, another Jordan Walker discussion. But first, we got to talk about Cole Reagan. So you and I were on live as we are |
| 1:12.3 | Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Eastern on the YouTube channel. Again, ring the bell to the goes dang |
| 1:16.0 | for notifications. So you never miss a piece of content here. But Cole Reagan's a short day for him. |
| 1:21.2 | He got hit pretty quickly with a ball from Jose Ramirez, a shot that went off his glove and then off |
| 1:26.7 | his thumb. |
| 1:28.9 | He tried to work through it. |
| 2:00.8 | The first pitch he threw actually went to the backstop. So that wasn't a good sign. And he said, all right, I'm feeling okay. I'm able to pitch through it. And then he wasn't because he gave up a bunch of runs and they ended up taking him out. And it was a very short outing. Just 18 pitches. just five batters gave up a couple runs. So, there's going to be more imaging and all that stuff here, but obviously a disappointing day for people who had Cole Regens. We're hoping he avoided the worst, but as of right now, we don't exactly know what's going on. I would think if he went back in and threw for a couple batters, the very worst, it is just a contusion and nothing more. But we thought the same thing with Jordan Lawler a couple days ago. And that turned out to be worse than we expected. Yeah, I mean, on the inverse, Mike Trout, we thought, you know, it could be bad and it was okay. And it's just not good. It didn't look good. It was Jose Ramirez right up, right to his hand, and he immediately went to his thumb and he didn't use it. |
| 2:20.4 | So it looked really bad. Best case scenario, it seems like. It seems like we're going to dodge a major bullet for, this would be more of a freak injury or anything like that. Maybe this can be a reset too. I know some people have been complaining and just about some of the production And maybe they just played a little bit safe. Let him take a couple days off. And hopefully this is going to be something that is kind of a quick bounce back. But it was his pitching hand. So I don't know. I'm kind of celebrating that he's not immediately out, you know, how to get a new thumb or something like that at this point of the year with all these pitching losses we're having. I like that. Somebody called us good morning baseball. I kind of like that. That's a hell of a title. Maybe maybe that's what we are or good afternoon on the East Coast, I guess, in the very least. I know we have other things to talk about. We got some pitchers I want to discuss too, but since it's being brought up in the chat, Lee has a question. Can anything stop Jordan Walker? Will he hit 60 home runs? Yes, things can stop Jordan Walker. And no, he will not hit 60 home runs. Opposite. Nothing will stop him. He's going to hit more than 60. Greatest player in baseball. He's an all-star. He's MVP candidate. Greatest we've ever seen. Nothing could stop him. And then what happens in April is what happens the whole season. |
