Hey there, so this is Red Menace, this is Allison and I'm here with Brett and it is

another month where we are doing a theory based episode.

So as you know, if you're familiar with our show at all, we do two things.

On some of our episodes, we jump sort of into theoretical texts.

We try to explain them in a way that it's going to be easy for people to understand and

then show why they're applicable to our current situation.

And then alternating every other month, we also do current events.

We've actually done a little bit of theory back to back here because we did our political

economy episode last month.

But for this month, we wanted to jump into like a single text and really focus in on that.

So we are going to be doing that today and hopefully you will find this helpful.

The text that we're going to be looking at is Philosophical Trends in the Feminist Movement

by Anurada Gandhi.

And I think there's a lot of really valuable stuff here.

So we're going to go ahead and just dive right into that.

So first, we wanted to start off with why exactly this text matters.

Why is it something that we have chosen to cover?

So Philosophical Trends in the Feminist Movement is the text we're working with and it was

largely compiled from the notes of Anurada Gandhi and published post-stumously by the

Communist Party of India, Maoist.
