We all desire to have more joy in our lives, but there are many things that can easily discourage us.

God has given us tools in His Word to overcome this disappointment.

One of those tools is the Book of Philippians.

It is full of principles for living a victorious Christian life.

It also contains practical advice for everyday living, and most of all, it's a book about joy.

Be encouraged as Joyce teaches from Philippians, chapter by chapter, and guides us deeper into the Word.

Now, here's Joyce with today's teaching.

And then Paul says, I pray that your love would abound, yet more and more.

There's so much in that statement, because you know what he's saying?

They were walking in love, and he told him he was proud of them, but he said, I want your love to abound.

He's saying, I know you're walking in love, but I want you to grow and walk in love.

You know, one of the worst things we can do is get complacent and get satisfied with our stuff.

Well, I do pretty good.

No, no, no, no, that's not it. I want to do better, because I want to glorify God more.

I want to abound in love. I really want to learn how to love people, the way Jesus loved people.

Can any one of us say that we really know how to give unconditional love?

So much of our love is still based on how people treat us.

So we got to keep growing. We got to keep going after it.

The worst selling book that I ever wrote was on love.

Made me so mad, because it was about loving other people, starting a love revolution in your own life.
