So two letters, which we spend a lot of time talking about in the news business in our lives,

talking about, worrying about, thinking about our AI, artificial intelligence.

And there's a story that caught our attention about police starting to use AI chatbots,

whatever those are, to create crime reports.

Chat bots are essentially artificially generated scripts.

And with us now on the phone to talk about this, Royal Oaks, Royal Oaks and ABC News analysts,

a familiar name and voice to consumers of news here in Southern California. Royal, I haven't

talked to you in quite a while. How have you been? Is this Phil Schumann, a superstar of L.A. TV and

Hey, how have you been? Good.

Good, absolutely. It's been a wild ride with all the Donald Trump criminal law stuff,

so that's kept me and a bunch of other folks busy for the last year.

But that's easing off. So now we've got other topics to talk about. Police doing AI reports. Yeah, there's no shortage of a need for legal analysis these days.

So this story that Oklahoma City's Police Department is one of a handful of law enforcement

agencies to experiment with AI. What does that mean and why is that significant?

It's really wild.
