Podcast Network. I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And we're going to continue yesterday's

conversation. If you haven't listened to it, you don't have to for this pod to be relevant, but it is a

continuation of that discussion

on our next head coach. And a couple of the places that we landed on. Now, we didn't really

talk about anybody specific about like, oh, this should be the Lakers next head coach. But we talked

about kind of the attributes necessary and the circumstances around the team that are maybe a little bit

different than other coaching jobs and that are just very specific to the Lakers. And one of the

things that we talked about was the idea that you have to have the respect of the leaders and guys

like LeBron. Now, Mike, I think there's a bit of a misconception that to have the respect of somebody like LeBron James, that you need to be a superstar coach. You need to be a big name that comes in with a certain degree of cachet. Now, I do think you have to have a certain amount of gravitas, right? You got to be able to hang. You were talking about the swagger of a guy like Eric Spolsgr, for example. And we talked yesterday about the two different

tracks, right, kind of the film room guy that ends up becoming a coach, and then the former player.

And the differences between being a bit of a basketball geek and then a leader, right? And

that those are two of the main

attributes that you look for from a coach. And again, I feel like that this conversation usually
