I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And guys, we're going to shift our attention back to the Lakers today. We've been really focused on the playoffs over the course of the last couple of weeks, and it's been great. And it's been nice to get a little distance from this Lakers season.

I don't know if that's been the case for you, but for me, it's been nice to just have a little bit

of separation and immerse myself in good basketball. That's been a nice palate cleanser as well.

And I think it's started to give us more perspective on how to go forward.

And so today I want to talk about our next head coach.

And we could talk about specific names if you guys want to.

But I'm talking more like, who do we need and what do we need our coach to be?

And because circumstances matter D, Coaching the Lakers and coaching

LeBron and AD and just everything about us is not necessarily, not everything, but many of the

things about the Lakers do not reflect the same thing that the coaching experience would be elsewhere.

And you're writing this great series right now for a silver

screen and roll. And in one of the pieces you talked about the coach coaching the team that he has

rather than the team that he wants. And you were talking about Frank Vogel. And then another,
