My guest is the veteran comedy writer Phil Rosenthal.

His first job was writing for the spectacularly improbable

Robert Mitchum sitcom.

But he managed to parlay that into a long career

in television writing, including being the creator

and longtime head writer of Everybody Loves Raymond.

Now his new documentary film, which he also wrote and directed,

is called Exporting Raymond.

It's the story of how he brought Raymond

to the Great Nation of Russia.
