So the EU leaders gathered in Brussels this week to talk about Brexit

and they gave the rubber stamp to the end of

phase one of the negotiations opening the way for future relationship talks and

that crucial transition deal and trade. But things are not going so well for

treason at home where her government suffered the first big defeat in

the House of Commons over a meaningful vote on Brexit.

Certainly at the summit over here in Brussels it's gone as well as might have been hoped.

She arrived in Brussels to be loved bombed by fellow European leaders who frankly would rather do business with her on Brexit than any of the possible alternatives.

For example Boris Johnson, the Foreign Secretary. There was a round of applause for the

Prime Minister on Thursday night as she gave a little presentation on Brexit

last over five minutes I'm told. And she left Brussels, went back to her constituency
