0:17.3	Welcome to the politics guys. I'm Michael Baranowski, a political scientist at Northern Kentucky University.
0:23.4	My co-host this week, as always, is Cleveland Area Attorney and sometime Republican strategist Jay Carson.
0:30.1	Up until yesterday morning, we were planning to start the show by talking about last week's vice presidential debate.
0:36.5	But after the major development concerning
0:38.6	revelations about some extremely vulgar comments Donald Trump made concerning women caught on
0:44.0	tape before an interview in 2005, we'll start by talking about that. Now, if you haven't heard,
0:49.7	it's hard to imagine, but if you haven't heard, the story is that before a 2005 taping of the
0:54.8	entertainment show, Access Hollywood, Trump made a number of remarks, remarks that because
1:00.5	we're tagged as a not explicit show on iTunes, we can't repeat in full.
1:05.9	But suffice to say that they were both incredibly degrading and objectifying to women.
1:12.2	So much so that Trump actually issued a video apology of sorts. And really, an apology of any kind from Donald Trump is
1:18.5	about as common as a unicorn citing. The controversy has even more top Republicans distancing
1:25.1	themselves from him. Even Mike Pence, who said, as a husband and father,
1:29.2	I was offended by the words and actions described by Donald Trump in the 11-year-old video released
1:34.7	yesterday. And then Pence further said, I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend him.
1:42.2	And since this came out, actually, 25 elected officials from the Republican Party have revoked their endorsements of Trump, including 13 members of the House, nine senators, and three governors.
1:56.5	And there have been a number of calls for him to step aside in favor of Mike Pence, calls that
2:01.2	Donald Trump, of course, has said he will not, not listen to at all. And now many in the party are
2:06.8	saying it's not really a question anymore if Donald Trump will lose, but how badly he'll drag
2:12.1	down the rest of the ticket. So, Jay, what do you make of all this? Well, I was, you know, last week was really crazy busy for me at work.
