Monday, June 22nd edition of PFT PM.

This is the second week of the PFT Live hiatus.

We're due to be back July 27.

I know that sounds like a long time away, but man, the days just rolled by before you

know it, it's going to be the 4th of July.

And then you wake up one of those days like a week or so after 4th of July, and like summer's going to be over soon. But the good news is football season's coming. That's the best part about football season. It comes at the perfect time. summer's over and you're looking at the months that are kind of dreary and boring and blah

and the trees all

die and it gets cold, but football will be constant right after Labor Day weekend or before,

if you like college football. I do. I just don't get to watch very much of it because I usually

travel on Saturdays, but this year I won't be traveling as often on Saturdays, so maybe I'll watch some more college football.

If you're watching pro football, you know that one of the things that could derail a season

is a work stoppage. We haven't had one since 1987. We did have an off-season lockout in 2011.

All we lost was the Hall of Fame game, so

maybe you could call that a win. But there's a CBA that expires in five years. And the NFL is

very interested in getting to the table ASAPFP. As we've mentioned several times, the Super Bowl to be played in Atlanta in February

of 2028 does not yet have a specific date. Why? Because the NFL is still holding out the very

slim at this point, hope of getting to 17 or from 17 to 18 regular season games by

27. On that note, J.C. Treader, the still new three months in executive director of the NFL

Players Association recently gave a phone interview to Albert Breer of S.I.
