strings. Whatever happened to Bitcoin? Was Bitcoin a fad, a pyramid scheme, a Ponzi scheme, or does it still provide a way for

individual human beings to extricate themselves from the arms of the state, the arms of big

finance, and pursue a freer future? That's the worldview of Peter McCormack, who knows as much as anybody about Bitcoin. He has not

been, in the least bit, dejected by the travails of cryptocurrencies over the past year or two.

He has a podcast called What Bitcoin Did. And he reached out to me after seeing me online and invited me on that podcast.

I guess it would be a couple of years ago now.

And we hit it off.

He's a very smart thinker.

He's not just a tech bro with his head in the clouds.

He thinks a lot about politics, about the relationship of the state and the individual.

And he's still bullish about a future in which

Bitcoin untethers us from the ties that constrain us and provides a future that's

brighter than the one that we currently have. And the flip side of that is that there is a

dystopian future without Bitcoin that he's been to articulate. I found it fascinating.
