non-air-conditioned on a hot Sydney day over the weekend.

And I'm not going to release what I said, because I think at this moment we need, look, I don't know what I want to say

here, but I have to say it in order to know what it is, if that makes sense. I have to hear

myself talk.

And my only aspiration is that I talk in ways that will be comprehensible to people who are fired up about defending Palestine and to those who feel besieged by those who are fired up about defending Palestine.

I don't seek to be comprehensible to far-right Zionists in Israel

who think that Israel should run from the river to the sea

and that it should keep building settlements with impunity in the West Bank,

and that October 7th only proves that there was never a partner for peace,

they're never going to understand my point of view.

And people who think that the whole Israeli project is a misbegotten venture from the start,

and we need a Palestine from the river to the sea,

in the literal meaning of that term,
