They have a new album out that really is incredible and has blown me away

both of them come from an incredible, each of them come from an incredible legacy of making music. Corin is from Slater Kenny and Peter was in a band called R.E. M. And they've now joined forces.

So I'm thinking a lot about this song by Dawes,

And I don't know if you have heard you ever hear that that song yeah

I know the band yeah so the song is really it's the Taylor Goldsmith singing to this young person and hoping all their dreams will hold and that they grow up and be a good person and the main benediction is may all your favorite bands stay together and kind of what that means and I've

been thinking about the way people connect to the bands that both of you made your names with.

And you know my connection to your band Peter and I'm wondering if to each of you

if you ever think about what your bands meant to people like and understand the hopes that they had or allow yourselves to think

about it.

I mean I think that really to maintain your sanity you don't really think about it that much because you don't really want to write with your audience in mind in order to really write a story that means something to you.

You know what I mean?

I think it's there.

It's definitely there and you know,

it's really meaningful and that's why you started doing that in the first place, but I think you also have to at some point throw that at the window when you want to write a new record or do more songs in a way because if you're always thinking about like what do I mean to people what does this mean it
