I am not the star of this show.

I am merely the resident village idiot who just sort of steers things.

The star of this show is Pete Deweese, our MPW Digital resident football expert.

Pete was kind of the headliner on last year's massive three and a half hour a week

MPW Digital pregame show, which I evaluated from an analytical standpoint and thought,

that's too long.

But the subject of Pete would start at the very beginning and we would seek a little bit

of a falloff and they had nothing to do with the other guest. He just had to do with, it's hard

to listen. If you're a Joe Rogan person, you know this. It is hard to listen to three and a half

hour podcast. So I said, you know what? Let's simplify this. Let's give the people what the people

want. And that's Pete Deweese,

who is back for another year of previewing Ole Miss football games. Pete will be with us on this show,

his show, each and every week that Ole Miss has a game. We're taping this on Wednesday nights.

I like time stamping things, Pete, because you never know what's going to happen, especially like a week like this one where Ole Miss hasn't named a quarterback yet. So we might talk in ambiguous terms there. And then something gets announced on Friday and you're listening to this and you're like, wait, what? We're taping this on Wednesday night. I'm going to publish it on Thursday. We're going to publish it on YouTube. This is probably going to be a show that is best viewed on our YouTube,

on our YouTube MPW digital channel, but we're also going to put it in podcast form.

It's going to be my assignment to sort of every once in a while make sure that if you're listening

while you're driving to Oxford or to Atlanta or to Baton Rouge or to

College Station or to Fayetteville or to wherever else Nashville, wherever Ole Miss plays a game
