Yesterday I was doing a recording. It's called ADR additional dialogue recording and I'm sorry for anyone who knows that.

If it sounds like I'm actor, explaining that to you.

But it's when they go back after you've shot something, a movie or a TV show, you go back and you add

sometimes the microphones you're using doesn't they don't pick up everything or maybe you have to change a word or add some words to make the plot a little bit more clear.

It's called ADR and I was doing that yesterday for goose bumps. I was doing it with the post production supervisor and he and the engineer, the recording engineer, were on a little zoom.

And one of them said, like you do, just said, what's going on to me? I found myself really struggling to answer it.

I don't know what it began. And then I realized, what am I doing? This is just a formality. This is just what people say to one another. It's like, hey, what's up?

Small talk. Small talk. I had been with Christian and the rest of my family and people who were, I don't know, I've been having a lot of great conversations and I've been.

We only have elevated talk in our family. We don't have nothing less than medium talk. But I realized I was making a big deal about this thing that was just meant to be a hello.

It was basically a placeholder for, hey, it was just a greeting and I found I made it weird. I made it weird. I made it weird. And I admitted it. I said, you know, this is I haven't been in work mode for a couple of weeks.

And I realized that this is just small talk. And I should, I should have just said, nothing. How what's going on with you?

Well, you can redeem yourself by making it less weird, by making this less weird. Yeah. And this podcast.
