Whether the topic is religion, politics, or something else, a persuasive argument will always be more effective than a merely correct argument. Of course, we must make the truth our goal, but simply having the right conclusion is insufficient, at least if we are attempting to bring others around to our point of view or over to our side. Often, persuasion is a matter of time and patience, but how we go about interacting with others is a key part of whether or not we are effective in our pursuits.

And the point is that we wanted to be able to present a calm, reasoned case for these things

1:17.4

in part to make the point about the subjects, but also with every episode that we've done,

we're trying to demonstrate that you don't have to be a bomb-throwing madman

be able to do that without getting worked up about it. So this week we're talking about persuasion specifically because, you know, last week we talked about not wanting people to get sucked down into the tar pit of OK, I'm red pill.

1:55.0

Now, I want to know all the red pill subjects and I want to engage in every so-called conspiracy theory and I know that they

lie to me about something so they must have lied about everything. This is now my personality.

2:08.1

When we tackle these subjects, we don't want people to feel like talking about race or the Jews
