0:23.0	and the time starts right now. And so I'm just going to dive right in
0:28.0	because when you talk about Jesus and particularly when you talk about Jesus
0:32.0	in a world that's skeptical about whether he exists and what he's all about
0:36.0	et cetera, you need to know the rules of the game in terms of how to think about
0:40.0	him. So I'm going to first give you the rules and then I'm going to take you
0:44.0	through a swift treatment of about, well, then I'm going to give some background
0:48.0	and then I'm going to give you a swift treatment of about seven quick events,
0:52.0	snapshots that kind of put the life of Jesus together which is a wonderful
0:56.0	set up for Easter because although this is Palm Sunday and I could have showed
1:01.0	up with a group of palms and maybe wrote in on a donkey.
1:05.0	Okay, I thought that's a bit radical. So instead I'm going to give you an overview
1:09.0	of the life of Jesus. So let's dive in. Let's take a look first of all.
1:13.0	It's some key rules that are a part of thinking through the way the Bible
1:18.0	presents Jesus. And these rules include what's called multiple attestation.
1:23.0	Multiple attestation is the idea. This is going to sound like a lecture
1:27.0	because you can't take the professor out of the preacher. And so
1:31.0	multiple attestation is the use of different sources to say the same kind of
